 I wish to speak seriously for a moment. Our guild is in dire straits, and I do not exaggerate this; our leaders have next to vanished due to real-life issues, and those that were left in control have not been able to get on enough nor have the authority to create raids in their absence, leaving a once brimming calender bone dry. This dramatic change has begun to affect the guild in troublesome ways. Just in the pass two days, we have lost three of our finest members: Viggtarsky has transferred servers, Bubbletroubl has quit WoW, at least until Cataclysm releases, and just tonight Achingtree left the guild, citing that it was pointless to stay in a guild that did nothing. Unfortunately, many of our remaining guild members, myself included, share his sentiments. I fear that, unless Muj and Ross can somehow return to the game and re-take the helm of this aimless ship, the Alliance of the Steadfast will soon run aground. I sincerely hope that I am wrong, but I can see no other alternative given our current path.

 That being said, if you still have hope for this guild, and trust that it may once again rise from the ashes and return to its former glory, I ask you to hold your ground for as long as possible. At the same time, however, I entirely understand if you decide to leave; we all have goals and agendas, and we should do everything in our power to achieve them. The choice is yours.

 As for me, as a loyal contributor and proud member of the Alliance of the Steadfast, I will hold my position until the final ember dies.

P.S. To Muj and Ross: I am sorry if this has upset you, but I felt that it is wrong to ingnore the truth for so long. I pray everything works out between you two, whatever it is.

UPDATE 8-31-09:

Ross and Muj have been unable to log on due to their computers being confiscated. Ross logged on tonight, but unfortunately I missed her. Muj is still rogue.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say farewell to one of our best guild members and a very good friend, Obeewan (though now going by Wargasm and having a somewhat slimmer form), who left the guild tonight. You are a very friendly and entertaining man, and I wish you only the best in your future endeavors, both in WoW and beyond. You will be missed.

The Alliance of the Steadfast made another great leap into Ulduar as the mighty (and Monty Pythonesque) Kologarn (who appears to be more of a liability than an asset) fell to our punishment! Thanks to Mujahadeen (not pictured), Nomadic, Viggtarsky, Obeewan, Cryingfish, Bubbletroubl, Barancus, Achingtree, Mentat and myself, with a special thanks to Khazrefugee of <Femme Fatal> for the help and strategy tips.

In preparation for the coming renewal of the Onyxia raid, AotS members set out to create a chain of dragons from one end of the world. However, their dreams fell short as they realized that only six dragons were available.

In celebration of WoW's 5-year anniversary this fall, the classic Onyxia raid will be permanently converted into a modern 10/25-man raid for level 80 players! The change will be made in patch 3.2.2, and will include new gear modeled to resemble the original loot. For the full story, check out the Blizzard article.

Multiple baddies felt the wrath of the Steadfast tonight as we rampaged through both Ulduar and Vault of Archavon. In Ulduar, Razorscale (or Veranus, for those who did the Hodir quest chain), fell to AotS after only one wipe thanks to the efforts of tanks Nomadic and Mentat; healers Ruiea, Bubbletroubl and Cryingfish; and DPS Viggtarsky, Pcklshelper, Barancus, Virulenta, and Gielnor.

After the XT-002 Deconstuctor proved to be a little too much, we decided to return to VoA and, after several painfully close attempts and one very uncooperative Minion, we were able to vanquish the giant Emalon! Thanks goes to everyone mentioned above, minus ross (she was tired) and plus healer Chubbyhealz (who somehow managed to sneak out of both of my shots. You're there in spirit, Chubby!)

Once again, Nomadic displays his inability to stand in the beam of a camera flash.

Remember, Mentat is still our Field Captain, so if there is any specific dungeon/ raid you would like to run during the week, ask him and he will try to slot it in.

Our very own Pcklshelper has begun production of an as-of-yet unnamed machinima project starring himself, Wachan of <Crimson Knights> and your favorite Dwarf hunter (that would be me, if your rhetoric filter is being cleaned today), but he needs your help! If you would like to take part in the new film, message me or PC in-game and we will try to give you a job! Be prepared to make an alt, wear ridiculous costumes, do the same thing at least 3 times, and take orders from a man half your height. Also, the script is very flexible (being nearly nonexistant) so any suggestions as to minor details of the plot are welcome.

See what happens when you give me unrestrained power? First I go make banners, then I take over the website, and before you know it alien lifeforms are taking over your plumbing. Crazy world.

Bizarre/ disgusting creatures aside, let's cover whats been happening inside the Alliance.

 After many months of hard effort and enough wipes to wash a car, we are proud to announce that the Alliance of the Steadfast has defeated the great Kel'Thuzad on normal difficulty! Congratulations to Viggtarsky, Obeewan, Gielnor, Ruiea, Mujahadeen, Bubbletroubl, and Mentat, with special thanks to Hordeblood, Feisty, and Nomadic (on his hunter). Your hours of hard work helped make this possible. Great work!

 The latest guild meeting occured this Sunday. If you missed it, the review of the events will be sent out to your e-mail and posted on the forums. On that note, congratulations on Mentat for becoming our next Field Captain!

The next guild meeting will be on Sunday, July 27th beginning at 8:00 PM server time. If you have a proposal prepared that you would like to have discussed during the meeting, please e-mail it ahead of time to gm@allianceofthesteadfast.com or gmassistant@allianceofthesteadfast.com so that it may be included in the meeting agenda.

 We will be running Naxx after the meeting at 10:00 PM server time. Thaddius and the entire Plague quarter remain, so put on your dancing shoes and lets see if we can get saph and KT on Monday!

 Congratulations to Obeewan for grinding the massive amount of gold needed to construct the [Mekgineer's Chopper]! This baby purrs like a kitten.
